Staple News publishes independent music reference articles. Amanda Graves is responsible for the publication. Research and drafting can use AI tools; source checks and the corrections process apply to that work.
Release dates and credits
We check music facts against primary evidence where it is available: a label’s release page, a band’s announcement, release credits, or a dated interview with the people involved. Discogs entries help distinguish editions and catalog numbers. We link sources so readers can check the evidence.
An original release, a reissue, and a digital edition can have different dates. We identify the edition when that distinction matters. A lineup described in an old interview belongs to that interview’s period unless newer evidence confirms it.
Listening recommendations and quotations
Recommendations are editorial judgments. Chart positions, sales figures, pressing quantities, and tour dates require a named source. We attribute other publications’ reviews and use short quotations with context. We do not reproduce their articles or present their reviews as our own.
Images and historical material
Illustrations are made for this publication. They do not document a real concert, recording session, or band member. Diagrams identify their sources where they contain factual information. The domain’s history does not give us rights to the former site’s articles or artwork.
Corrections and updates
Send corrections through the Contact page, with the article URL and supporting evidence. A substantive correction receives a dated note explaining the change. An updated date should reflect a material revision to the article.
The About page records the publication’s ownership and its independence from the original Staple Records label.
